    前     言

    毕业设计(论文)是本科阶段最重要的综合型、设计型的实践教学环节。通过毕业设计(论文)环节的训练,使学生得到工程设计和科学研究的初步锻炼,可以培养学生严谨的科学态度、正确的设计思想、科学的研究方法、敢于创新的精神和良好的工作作风;培养学生独立思考、独立检索中外文献资料、综合分析、理论计算、工程设计、实验研究、工程制图、模型抽象、数据及文字处理等方面的能力,并掌握当前研究、设计的工具和环境;培养学生掌握基本技能及综合运用基础理论、专业知识解决复杂工程问题的能力。由此可知,毕业设计(论文)成为学生走向社会及继续学习的不可取代的重要环节。
    毕业设计(论文)教学环节的主要形式是,学生在指导教师的指导下,对给定的设计型课题,按照工程项目研发的规范,运用项目开发的相关技术,完成课题的设计任务,并在此基础上撰写毕业论文,以参加毕业答辩的形式表达设计成果,取得学分。由此可知,毕业设计(论文)教学环节能锻炼学生对专业知识和能力的系统运用与掌握,能反映教师的科研条件和教学水平,能体现学校的教学条件和管理水平。因此,毕业设计(论文)是影响教学质量的关键环节,也是本科教学评估和工程教育认证的重要考核点。
    然而,由于缺乏相关的毕业设计(论文)教学指导书籍,各学校、专业对培养目标与能力要求的定位也存在较大差异,进而在所需条件建设、教学过程管理与质量监控等方面的差异较大,使最终的教学质量存在诸多不确定性。鉴于此,为了进一步明确毕业设计(论文)的教学目标、教学过程安排、相关环节质量体系与教学规范、质量监控体系建设,以使相关机构与人员能明确责任、要求和约束,积极主动开展工作,确保人才培养质量,我们在多年学校教学管理和教学实践的基础上,结合教育部高等学校计算机类专业教学指导委员会等开展教学研究的成果,编写了本书,希望能够对高校毕业设计(论文)的教学和管理提供借鉴与参考,包括对学生的指导、给教师的参考及给教学管理部门的建议。
    本书基于工程教育认证“以学生为中心、能力导向、持续改进”的理念,主要面向高校工科类专业院系教学管理负责人、专业教师和学生,系统介绍毕业设计(论文)教学环节的相关内容及教学规范化建设方案,具体内容包括以下几方面。
    (1)深入讨论培养目标及其阶段性任务分解:在讨论培养目标的定位及指导思想的基础上,进一步讨论了教学环节的阶段性安排,包括开题、系统设计、质量监控、毕业论文撰写、毕业答辩等各阶段对培养目标的具体落实,教学规范及其对培养目标的支撑。
    (2)教学实施及其质量要求:院系、专业对毕业设计(论文)教学实施及相应的质量要求,包括课题征集与审定、指导教师、开题、中期检查、课题验收、毕业论文评阅、毕业答辩与成绩评定等方面的质量要求。
    (3)质量监控机制建设:为了促进学校的工程教育认证工作,从微观角度探讨毕业设计(论文)的培养目标达成分析及持续改进方法,讨论各重要环节的质量监控指标及质量监控机制建设,以便为相关单位构建相应的质量监控机制提供建议。
    本书附录部分给出了典型的课题申请表、开题报告、任务书模板,供读者参考。
    希望本书能够对高校毕业设计(论文)的教学和管理工作、指导教师、学生等提供借鉴和参考。对高校教学管理者和指导教师来说,本书所讨论的培养目标、阶段划分、各项工作规范或要点、基于OBE 理念的质量监控机制建设、毕业答辩与成绩评定、培养目标达成分析与持续改进、管理平台建设方案、基于新工科理念的毕业设计课题资源库建设方案等,具有一定参考价值。
